ADVANSEA S4 WIND DIGITAL COMPLETE
DESCRIPTION:
The ADVANSEA S4 Wind Digital is a complete wind measurement system that includes the masthead and a 25 m cable. It displays wind direction in both analog and digital form. The display has two configurable lines, with the upper line having characters with a height of 32 mm and the lower line having characters with a height of 22 mm. The instrument supports communication via the manufacturer's proprietary bus and a NMEA0183 interface for data input and output. It displays wind speeds from 0 to 199 knots and wind directions on 360°. There is also an indicator for the tendency of wind direction. The ADVANSEA S4 Wind Digital offers the possibility to display both true wind direction and apparent wind direction when connected to a surface speedometer or GPS. The wind direction resolution is 1°. The instrument has a strong wind alarm and a low battery alarm. It also supports a simulation mode for testing purposes. The instrument comes with a protective cover and has a robust construction. It is designed for installation in instrument panels and has a diameter of 48 mm. It is mounted without screws and a sealing ring is included for mounting on a bulkhead. The display has a backlight with adjustable brightness and an intuitive menu navigation. It is waterproof according to IP66 and has an anti-fog coating on the screen. The ADVANSEA S4 Wind Digital supports various units, including degrees, m/s, Beaufort, knots, km/h and miles/h. It has alarms for strong wind and low battery voltage. Please note that displaying the true wind direction requires a connection to a surface speedometer or GPS.
